mueros

hello

this site is dedicated to the activities (adventures) of mueros, and any sub-phrases, additional chapters, appendixes or parallel universes that may also be related to them.

mueros is band in case you were wondering or hadn’t worked it out yet.

it was created in 2004 by a dispossessed englishperson and a disenfranchised frenchperson as they propped up a bar in nice.

mueros is currently chris (mostly guitars and singing), eric (mostly drums), matthieu (mostly guitars and singing) and philippe (mostly bass).

the common need to make music that mattered and that gave a shit has led to them making a number of concerts in nice, bordeaux, toulouse, budapest etc, and a number of recordings to whit:

‘zero’ (2006),

‘le temps des cerises’ (2007)

another album is on the way (soon) and a tour to follow. [watch this space, as they say].

mueros has collaborated on theatre productions ( ‘norway today’ theatre national de nice) with dancers (miss wata) and with filmmakers (stef coda), and is naturally open to all kinds of collaborations with artists where a common passion can communicate and move people without recourse to stupid words like these.

members of mueros also constitute a part of the excellent folk/prog/pop/dub/punk group animal vacarme, when they get a site up we’ll post a link here, for the moment there is only a myspace, its here, we’ll post news related to animal vacarme here too, so if you’ve read this you’ll know why.

the site is essentially a wordpress blog you can make your own if you look here (www.wordpress.org), the visual aspect is based on the gridfocus theme by Derek Punsalan 5thirtyone.com, the wonderful photos where taken by stef coda during the only live performance, to date of ‘le temps des cerises’.

we know nothing of the world wide web and how it works and so are grateful to all our friends who have helped and advised in this endeavour, notably loic who has webmastered the site since its creation.

also andrew dubber’s www.newmusicstrategies.com site has been a mine of useful and intelligent information, as it could be for you if you need that kind of thing.
